1. Fully Close the Game (Not Just Suspend It)
Sometimes the game gets stuck because it's running in the background.
Press the Xbox button.
Highlight your golf game.
Press the Menu button (≡) on your controller.
Choose Quit.
Reopen the game.
This alone fixes the problem for many people.
2. Turn Off “Quick Resume” for This Game
Even if you didn’t find it before, try this method:
Press the Xbox button.
Go to My games & apps → See all.
Highlight the golf game (don’t open it).
Press the Menu button (≡).
If you see Remove from Quick Resume, select it.
If you don’t see the option, it means Quick Resume isn’t active for the game (which is fine).
3. Restart Your Xbox
A full restart can clear the glitch.
Hold the Xbox button on your controller.
Select Restart console.
After reboot, launch the game again.
4. Check Game Settings for Swing Animation
Sometimes settings get corrupted:
Open the game.
Go to Settings → Gameplay.
Reset gameplay settings to Default.
Test your swing again.
5. Power Cycle Your Xbox (Deep Reset)
This clears cached data, which often fixes slow-motion issues.
Turn off your Xbox.
Unplug the power cable for 60 seconds.
Plug it back in.
Turn on the console and test the game.
