double everything

so i already had my google play games account connected to pvz 2. i deleted pvz 2 and downloaded it again. i logged in with google play games and i had my profile back as normally. i got in to the ga...

    You guys are not alone. I am also a victim of that resource duplication bug. I actually documented it here and here and here. Fair warning though, those are long posts.

    But to summarize, there is no cure for that. Yet. But there is hope. You better create a ticket with EA help. I know how they handle these cases and your patience might be tested. Just keep on creating those tickets with them while you are experiencing this bug. As per reddit, the devs are already working on this issue. No fix date, unfortunately.

    I know this does not help much but this is the best this forum can offer you. I hope you continue to enjoy the game in spite of this.

You may not have a choice on that matter. If a resource (coins/mints/gauntlets) reaches the max limit (2^31 - 1), it may be stuck at zero and you won't be able to collect anymore of that resource. There are instances where it reverts back when you go back to the first screen but are you willing to bet on that? Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Outside of hacking, only EA can reset that for you.

i guess i should ask EA to reset it but if i do that will they just reset all my coins gems mints sprouts power ups and gauntlets or will they reset the whole game?

    Just the resources. Nothing else will be touched.

    i am really dumb. so i asked EA to reset my resources. i got a message back telling me that i need to put in the exact value of each item. so i put down the numbers that i had before the glitch. after a while i got message saying that they changed it. i looked on pvz 2 and yes it was fixed. i was really happy but for some dumb reason i tried to delete pvz 2 and install it again. i got in to the game and logged in. i had all my progress back as usually but when i got out of the game and back in my resources where doubled again! i tried waiting for a day but that didn't fix it. now i am going to ask EA again if they could reset my resources back again so i can look if that helps. so if you have this problem and fixed it it will probably come back if you delete the game and install it again.

    Unfortunately this bug 🐛isn't just on your device, it's on the Google play/ apple backups as well so everytime you reinstall and sync it's back.🐛

    It was probably on EA's own registration scheme and android and apple devices have now infected each other.

    But i still have the virtual Rolls Royce and Bentley 🚗 (one careful owner) if you're interested.....

    What is the purpose of resetting resources if the DOUBLE bug will still affect your profile ?

    This is nuts.

    Nahh, you're not dumb. Because I did the same thing before 🤣

    But yeah, lesson learned: Don't try to fix if it ain't broken. In our case, don't reinstall if it ain't broken. 😅
