Player ID FE0F2338 Stuck After Username Change(Blank Screen, 99% Loading)
The other week I re-downloaded PvZ2 after years away from it and my iCloud correctly remembered my old account. I played some levels, bought some plants, and then tried to change my username (on 1 of my 4 or 5 ish user created profiles) from "Schrondinger" to something else. The keyboard never appeared in the text field. The "Save" button was the only pressable thing, so I tapped it with the intent to just get out of the name change menu and forget anbout changing my name for the time being, but the game had other plans. The save button registered the press as the state of the button turned to being pressed down and after that the app completely broke. Now it either gets stuck at 99% loading (then crashes after several minutes) or loads to a blank screen with just the PvZ background art ie no button logos etc etc. I've tried literally everything multiple times over the past several days:
Full delete and fresh reinstall
Offloading the app and reinstalling it
Force closing then reopening the app
Enabling my Airplane Mode during every loading phase (in-game downloading, retrieving player data, applying patches)
Resetting my iPhones Network Settings
Full phone power off, restart, closed all my bg apps
Reinstalled after every possible combination of the above
Every time it detects my old save and asks if I want to load it (I say yes) and installs dependencies/patches and then gets stuck exactly the same way. I’ve already contacted EA Support twice. The advisors just followed scripts, sent me generic help links I already tried, and eventually when resuming one of my tickets, after submitting a description for why I want to resume the case it says “This issue isnt supported by advisors”. The advisors also said they’d pass my Player ID to the dev/game team but nothing has happened. At least on my end. No email updates or anything. Completely left out of the loop on things. This account has all my progress and purchases. I just want to play the game again. Please, if any moderator or dev sees this.. can someone with actual backend access please look at my profile and fix the sync corruption caused by the failed username change? This has been going on for days and I’m really frustrated after putting time and money back into the game.
