When I try to make an in game purchase, I get the error message "unable to complete purchase" as soon as I click on any of the "buy" buttons. I've disabled authentication in the Play store, and run the most recent update. Neither worked so I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game with still no luck. Android platform.

Yes, I've tried the troubleshooting steps.
EA Staff (Retired)My last purchase was in August and it completed successfully.
Also I've made other purchases within other apps that were successful, as recently as yesterday.
Also, that link takes you to a page for Androis devices but if you click the link about in game purchases on that page, it takes you to a page for apple devices. So, not very helpful.
I am having the exact same issue and EA hasn't been very helpful.
I'm trying to get my plants back . Now game wants me to buy them again. I tried now it's confused error message won't clear after reloading uninstalling. Exhausted from all the frustration lose stuff with reboot or new glitch. Help?
