I played a couple of games earlier just to see how it’s doing now with a refresh of players from the holidays and the change to team balance and while the teams were nicely full the same issues exist elsewhere.
You basically have one spawn as a defender to protect an objective because once you get vanquished that objective can go from 0% captured to 75-90% captured in the time it takes you to respawn and travel back to the objective.
It’s terrible and I miss the way Turf Takeover used to be with pitched battles, chaos and a feeling of having to struggle to win.
12v12 should be applied to all modes at this point. 👍
I think all game modes should be 12 v 12 as well, but I also hated the lag in 12 v12 TT. I hope they can optimize this game soon because 12 v 12 would be a nice way to make imbalances less impactful in rounds. Team Vanquish sucks with 8 v 8 because all of the fights happen in the center of the map, so the maps aren't really used to their full potential. 8 v 8 in general is a great way to abuse all of the character imbalances too. The frames are better but the gunplay feels laggy sometimes and overall frustrating.
12v12 Turf Takeover seemed generally better because of more chaos, however 8v8 Turf Takeover has less lag. Maybe in the future the developers could test 16v16 Turf Takeover and see how it goes? 🤔
However, I most like to do 12v12 Turf Takeover! But 8v8 is sometimes nicer to do as there's less going on all at once! I suppose the developers' feedback is what will decide whether Turf Takeover will remain in its current state or not!

ive been playing the game since release, and in my opinion 8v8 made turf takeover unbalanced.
it’s way to easy to push on some maps regardless the team characters being used. And on other maps it’s dang near impossible to capture a b and c because the maps are too big for so little players. I think 12 vs 12 is what glued turf take over together and also, drew more players to the game. Everyone just went back to gw2 because of the chaos lol. We want bigger team fights on the map.It's almost unanimous that most people want it back to 12v12. Can they just please change it back. No one asked for it to be 8v8. This is extremely frustrating.
I also loved 12v12 and when i first got garden warfare 1 a month after it released that's all i would play. Now it just feels empty.

@vitoroselli Many people preferred the style of 12v12 Turf Takeover, if they returned the team sizes to that size in Turf, I wouldn't mind. Maybe one time they could test doing it in reverse? In 16v16 Turf perhaps? See if it's too chaotic or laggy, or if people like it or not! 🤔 👍
I hope that turf takeover back to 12vs12 soon.
