Killing is still relatively slow compared to gw1 and 2. In gw1, the agent pea can kill someone in less than half a second. Anyways im not trying to boast or anything, this is just my objective experience with this game.
We don’t hear you as boastful. Thanks for sharing (you’re one of the lucky few).
Which platform are you on?
- @spIash_damage Im on xbox, and I'm using a wireless connection, also the modem is in the same room. My wife is on a wired connection and she gets similar ping.

I’m hard-wired into my $10,000 modem that’s not being released till 2020 and I make my children sleep or play outside while I game and still have issues. 😢
On a serious note, I have a solid connection on a PS4 Pro and nice modem but still struggle. I’m hard-wired direct to the modem.
Since Garden Warfare 2, I can't join @dwooten77 ‘s backyard or Giddy Park without lagging out of his server entirely. If he and I try to chat in-game, we’re better off using in-game chat (as opposed to PSN) because we lag down so hard.
You're fortunate.
No offense/Side note: I still think it’s people like you (amazing connections) that shell me without challenge/in a fraction of a second. 🤣🤷🏼♂️
I absolutely agree with the statement that the maps are WAY TOO BIG to be downsizing from 12v12 to 8x8,
I have a substantial number of hours on the previous games, so the differences this game introduces are pretty pronounced to me.
The nearly fanatical devotion that many people have to NOT PLAYING THE OBJECTIVE ON DEFENSE has been made much worse by 8v8.
With 12x12, we had a better chance of getting enough players to actual participate in the defense objective in these large maps.
I believe that this is one of the worst changes EA could have made.

12v12. That's your golden game mode for TT. In fact 18 v 18 is sounding like a pretty sweet deal. I would post that as its own thing but I know that restrictions are....strict 😉 Ah what the heck!
- @arownicus The deal with 12vs12 lobbies were the lags. 18vs18 could be just too much. But yes, more players more fun if it is still playable.
About restrictions: you are not restricted to make a new thread but it simply doesn't make any sense since you just replicate almost identical posts. I personally would want turf to go back to 12v12 but if it does stay as 8v8 I'm willing to get used to it.
- @Cozyzzzz Im use to it but I just don't feel it's as fun. Maybe they can adjust the spawns closer to the turf to increase the amount of people you can fight
@mikepal19 yeah I agree.
As someone who has played since the original and was given a free copy of PvZGW2 from EA due to my feedback on GW1, I'm not enjoying TT as much with fewer players.
- As previously stated, with 12v12 it was a bit more chaotic and much more action going on, thus making it more fun and frustrating at the same time.- I find myself running around looking for players to kill half the time. Didn't have that issue with 12v12.
- The lack of spots to place AI turrets was terrible in 12v12 and actually more noticeable and necessary in 8v8.
- With fewer players, this mode is no longer decent for doing challenges which require healing teammates, killing specific character types, and especially revivals since nobody waits for a revive when a respawn is quicker.
