This is something I haven't seen anyone talk about, but if they ever update the game again, they need to add an offline mode.
Garden Warfare 2 already has a bunch of singleplayer content, but the game needs an internet connection to even get past the loading screen. So if the servers were shut off one day, all of that would be completely unplayable.
They should also do this for GW1, since that has the ops mode.
Especially since Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is playable offline—but only on the Switch. Unfortunately, Garden Warfare 1 and 2 are completely abandoned; there are no developers working on them anymore, so it’s very unlikely to happen. Yet it would be possible, like with The Crew 2, which received an update years after its release to make the game playable offline. That should honestly be mandatory for all games. It’s frustrating to think that one day a game will simply become unplayable. But at this point, I’m relying more on community modders than on the studio to create a playable offline mod for Garden Warfare 2, and maybe even the first one—with a mod that adds bots.
