Game not launching fully through steam

Since yesterday there has been a rising issue where if you try to launch gw2 through steam, the anti cheat window pops up, fully loads, but after that nothing happens. Pc says that the game is running, but it isnt, it just doesnt load after the anti cheat does. Launching the game through ea app however works perfectly fine and fully loads as usual. Could this be because i have some mods installed, even though they arent for hacking? Ive installed mods 1 day before this issue occured to me and a lot of other players, and it has never happened before

    nevermind it works with zero issue now, i guess it was some kind of server issue

    The same thing has been happening to me except I also can't launch it through the EA app so PVZ GW2 is just completely inaccessible to me now. I used anticheat mods in the past but I removed them after the server maintenance so I don't know what the issue is. It's very nice to finally see someone else report this though because that gives me hope that I'm not completely screwed
