GW1 maps should be ported onto GW2, and it's not even that difficult.
I believe that original garden warfare's map should be ported over to garden warfare 2 for multiplayer, singleplayer and garden ops.
Why?
Because garden warfare 2 has 15 maps, and while they're all sick and extremely cool, the game lacks suburban styled maps to match the original plants vs zombies 1 and 2 aesthethic, and even though it wouldn't be 100% fit for narrative (zombification of plant territories), i'm sure many people would be pleased to have these, as many seeds of time maps have been recycled onto full maps and whilst they're cool, i think this simple action should be implemented to almost all gamemodes except for herbal assault and gardens and graveyards.
Pros and cons for the lazy
Pros:
- Increases map count from 15 to 27, adding new content
- Chances of an increased player count will grow from this
- Mostly effortless except for maybe tweaking around lightning to adapt it to gw2 atmosphere
- Could also be used in a "time travel" context, also appealing to pvz 2's narrative.
Cons:
- Zombification (GW2's main story narrative) wouldn't be included. (however, this rule can kinda be broken as maps like seeds of time and its variants for other gamemodes aren't actually "fit" for the game, no hate though cause they're tuff)
i beg EA does this, literally doesn't require special shooter tech team or anything like that, somebody with minimal coding experience could set up spawn points, and for gnome bomb and turf takeover they just have to change the graveyard and garden models to fit the gw2 aesthethic.
