My Take on "how to change healers" in BfN
So first, i want to say that i am back at giving feedback and ideas to devs! I have more hope on the future of the game after the recent patch notes for tuesday (still sad about the current state of Corn and Brainz, but ok) and finally i took the break i deserved after beeing active in reddit/forum all this time.
Second, i want to share an idea i had while playing, along with balance ideas to fix healers in the game right now and make the healing more difficult to use, not just pressing a button and automatically winning fights and eventually full games.
-Sunflower-
Lets be honest here: this character right now is broken, she has a ton of damage and a huge amount of healing/overhealing stocked in a easy-to-use beam that can be used and fight at the same time, differently from Scientist.
Sun Pulse
.Damage 8 -> 6.
.Rate of fire increase.
.Add damage-dropoff
Even if she can heal and do damage at the same time, she can outdamage Scientist, even thought he can´t do the same thing. I think by increasing her rate of fire and decreasing her damage, the character becomes more fun to play than with a slugish gun that deals more damage and wasn´t made for this. And finally, obviously, damage-dropoff, i don´t need to explain this do i?
Sunny Side Up
.Increase ability refresh timer. (16 sec -> 18 sec)
.Charges 3 -> 2.
This ability can literally make certain battles impossible to win for the Zombies, the big nerf i propose not only would make it more difficult to have and spam in every fight, but also would make the Sunflower player to think after using it in any X1 encounter or any easy fight.
Sunbeam
.Increase max. ability refresh timer. (30 sec -> 40 sec) (minor refresh timers are equivalent)
.Sunbeam now heal allies that get hit by the ability. (it still pierce them)
Sunbeam isn´t a support ability right now in the game, contrary to Scientist, that have 3 abilities that helps him support allies. Transforming it into a mega beam of healing would be cool, and it still does the same damage if it hits enemies.
Heal Beam
.Now has a meter that determines when it can be used.
.After the meter ends, the ability enters in a 15 seconds refresh timer.
The main problem of Heal Beam in my opinion is that it is infinite, she can provide how much healing she wants with it without any restriction or problems. Giving it a meter, like Citron and Super Brainz's shield, would solve this problem. (just a reminder, the meter do not regen back again after a certain time not healing anyone, it needs to end before starting to regen back again to full after 15 seconds. it has the capacity to heal a maximum of 3 allies of 125 hp from 0 hp to full life with overhealing)
-Scientist-
I think Scientist is pretty fine right now, but his healling is way too strong now. He can provide overhealing and heal how many allies he wants that are in his front view, along with 3 TPs and a pocket healing ability.
Sticky Healy Thingy
.Decrease ability refresh timer. (20 sec -> 15 sec)
This allows Scientist to pocket heal alies more often without his Healing Hose, and to pocket heal himself more often.
Warp
.Remove invincibility frames.
Warp is already a good movement ability with really good use and cooldown, i don´t think it needs invincibility frames, this only makes getting the enemy support even more difficult and frustrating.
Healing Hose
.Now has a meter that determines when it can be used.
.After the meter ends, the ability enters in a 15 seconds refresh timer.
Just like sunflower, i think both of their main healing abilities needs a rought treatment for how strong they are in this game, especially after the new buffs on Scientist's Healing Hose on 02/25. Don´t get me wrong, the abilities are still super good and usefull, they just need more caution and thinking to be used.(just a reminder, the meter do not regen back again after a certain time not healing anyone, it needs to end before starting to regen back again to full after 15 seconds. it has the capacity to heal a maximum of 3 allies of 125 hp from 0 hp to full life with overhealing)

I want to do more posts like this one for other characters or mechanics two, like springting and Jump mechanics. Hope to start well doing feedback for devs, really excited about 12v12 and upcoming balance patch. 🙂
