PVZGW2 wont connect to EA servers technical problem

I recently downloaded a client side offline mod for Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 but it interfered with my game progress and eventually caused the game to crash. Since then I have not been able to play properly.

I have tried reinstalling the game, clearing the cache, removing the mod, and even factory resetting two different PCs. Despite all this, the issue continues.

When I try to launch the game, it often stops with a message saying unable to connect to EA servers. Sometimes I get into the game briefly, but it disconnects within seconds with the same error.

I have a crash dump file that might help diagnose the issue, but the filetype is not supported by the EA website so I have not been able to submit it. If possible, I would like my game progress reset completely if it allows me to play again. If that does not help, I would even be okay with having my entire EA account reset or deleted, as long as I can keep my username.
