I got beat in five rounds because of clique peas, it's ridiculous! All my opponent played was clique peas, or cards to increase the clique peas strength and health, and by the fifth round they were so powerful I couldn't do anything! They should not cost only 1 sun, and I think every time a clique pea in played, the cost should go up by 1 sun as well, since ALL other clique peas go up by one.
If you receive 4 Clique Peas at the start of the game, you have a high probability of winning the game, we could analyze what to do in this case not to be defeated, but I think it's quite difficult, especially because every Clique put 2 more of them in the deck, anyway, have 4 clique peas at the beginning is very unusual, so don't be alarmed so much, it is a condition of luck, Is the same as starting with a good cards but with different types...

@blinddouble i I hear you but again, the probability of having multiple Cliques in your hand at the beginning is minimal. If the above scenario happened I agree, game over. If you get the exact cards you want at the beginning with most any hero the same holds true. I play them in my Green Shadow bean deck just for fun because stars are worthless and I don't find myself winning much more or less than with any other hero. I feel if they were truly OP I'd be crushing people at a much higher rate than with other heros and I personally just don't see that.
Maybe it is a bit overpowered. Based on the design I could imagine them keeping buffed as long as a clique pea is on the field or in the hand. For example, I play one on the first turn and have none left in hand, if it died the first turn and you drew one the next turn, the buff is reset and the new clique pea is back at 1/1. Had the first one survived, the new one would have the buff and be 2/2 in hand. Though this is me messing around and unlikely to become real.
The closest zombie-equivalent i can think of is the "Energy drink zombie" at a cost of 2. Frenzy +1/+1 every turn... Based on this making clique peas's also a 2-sun cost would probably balance them a lot. (I had thought energy zombie would have seen more play at the time :o )
On the other hand, a huge part of this game is beating the meta. Since a card is popular or powerfull, a lot of decks become based on that. Deck B would then emerge as competitor to defeat Decks A. If no decks B can be made, then it is up to the developers to provide that leverage to the zombies (which is mostly done through the event cards) or nerf the original problem. And between buffs and nerfs... everyone prefers buffs! \o/ (edit: on that note, the beast deck does rather well against mega grow plants imo)
Yesterday, for the very first time, I managed to get three Clique Peas out in the first two turns. My opponent immediately surrendered, and I can see why. Without having a very specific deck, how can a Zombie player possibly deal with that?
I'm not sure what the solution should be (increasing cost as they grow? decreasing strength when destroyed?), but something really needs to be done.

There are many solutions: increase it cost to 2 brains, make the first Clique Pea have 0/0 (so that when put into play it get 1/1) or make each Clique Pea shuffle one Clique Pea into the plant hero's deck instead of two. Although the idea I like most is that each Clique Pea costs 1 brain more than the previous one.
I actually think that would overnerf them.
If the cost increase would only apply to the clique peas newly shuffled in it should be fine though

Those are all good ideas.
I still think that starting the first Clique Pea at 1/1 (technically 0/0) is the best option.

that is because there would be a point where they turn * as single drops. If you opponent can remove every clique pea you play you end up with overpriced vanillas at one point.
To be honest. I think 6/6 for 5 without an immidiate effect is already fairly bad. everything above is horrendous. sure....a 9/9 for 8 sounds allright but compared to just playing dragonfruit or cornucopia thats pretty trash.
In giant growth alone you get a 5/5 for 5 with moving a zombie tucked to it. I would say thats much better than +1/+1 in stats. and Whipvine isn´t exactly top notch either.

Don't forget, they still buff the Peas already in play for free.
As much as I've seen them lately, I'd be just fine with never seeing anyone play one again.😃

I don't use Clique Peas because they are too inconsistent.
You either get lucky and slaughter your opponent, or you don't draw them, and you get destroyed because you made a terrible deck, and you hopefully choke on your sandwich and die.
I don't like 'dumb-luck' decks. I don't use them, and I don't like playing against them. They take the fun out of the game.
They work as an equalizer. They bring up bad players, and bring down good players.
'Equalizers' are in most competitive games (from first-person shooters to card games) to keep them fun for people who suck.
Do I hate and despise equalizers in games? Yes, I can't stand being beaten by people who are beneath me.
But when I calm down, (and see my 6 year-old kid getting wins) I remind myself of the necessity of making a game fun for a broad audience.
