I don’t have the list of all options I tried off the top of my head; it was based off of a link I was sent by support staff. However i can make a list of things I have tried.
- I’ve let the game just run. I turned the auto lock on my phone off and let the game run uninterrupted for roughly 8 hours while I slept. When I got back, no progress had been made, still loading.
- I’ve made sure my phone is updated to the latest iOS
- reinstalled the game
- restarted my phone
- uninstalled the game, restarted my phone, re installed game
- anything relavent on the support page short of literally resetting my phone to factory settings.

the only thing on this page I didn’t try was a different device because I don’t have access to another device to try
Do you have enough storage for the app? Also I had this exact problem before but they somehow fixed it for me I just can't play with friends anymore i'm not sure what else you could do.
I have plenty of storage on my phone
the problem occurred for me before and was fixed with an update. But the game doesn’t update often so I can’t just rely on that solution if it is a recurring issue

It does happen every time I load the game and the solution sadly didn’t work.
I’m running out of ideas, so I will attach more threads that will help with a possible solution, which may sort this problem out. I suggest to everyone that has this issue to post it here on the forums here and action may be taken on this issue.

My other suggestion: reset specific phone settings that you are willing to reset. It could make a difference.
I would have suggested a different device, that most likely could have worked, but if you do not have access to a different one, then I suppose that is not an option.
I do appreciate all of the help, though none of it worked. I guess my only real course of “action” so to speak is to just hope the game gets updated.
- @m3aga1n I am not going to give up just yet, so I will give you a couple more ideas. I would have said contact EA Help, however you stated you already have. Which is fine.

If that does not help, you could try deleting your app from the storage section of your device (you can see how to do it here: https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/how-to-delete-app-data-on-iphone%3famp) and then, sign out of your Apple ID, then back in and then attempt to reinstall the app. See if that works.
Otherwise, hopefully there is some sort of update. - @TheSprinter85 The game just updated and that didn’t help, so I’m gonna try the lat suggestion you gave
- @m3aga1n I really hope that it works for you! Maybe if it does not work, you should try EA Help again and open another case, but do not bother if you are not interested!
An update: apparently, this newest update that came out the other day made many players experience the issue you have described. Hopefully, this can be fixed and your issue will then be resolved.

also it seemed like others were getting an error message alongside the issue based on the tweet? So I would just like to clarify that I’m getting stuck on the screen with green shadow and super brains where the look like they’re ready to throw down, and the loading circle in the bottom right is going, and it goes forever

I was not not sure if you were having an issue similar to the connection issue or not, so I thought it was worth mentioning. I will continue to help, if this does not work.

- I’ve tried all of those things in the past. I think I linked it previously (or tried to at least) even in the list of things I tried, or at the very least mentioned it
Something interesting I’ve noticed is that even if I turn off wifi and data, it doesn’t give me a connection error, it just keeps on spinning the little icon while Dr. Zomboss looks down on the war he has started, and and looks down on me, the fool who thought I could play plants vs zombies heroes.

A new development: I got an entirely new phone, loaded a backup of my old data, and it still won’t work.
@TheSprinter85 any ideas with this new development?
@m3aga1nI feel like it has something to do with your data and not your phone then. Did you link your PvZ Heroes account at all in the past? If you have, try to start from scratch, but then after that, try to use the "My Account" settings and try to load your old progress on your phone, and see if it works from there. Ensure you keep a backup of your old progress somewhere if this does not work though.
I wonder why this issue continues to persist ... !- @TheSprinter85 Once again, I literally cannot get into the game to do anything. It just loads forever so I can’t even start from scratch
