Re: Springboards?

Thanks for your reply! Yes, the launch pads in Weirding woods (sorry I wasn't really sure what they were called). And yes, I've activated the button/s. There's one that you use to get to a platform to get to a chest, and there's one that you use to get to the 10th audio log. Once you're launched by the pad, it won't let you use another skill (i.e. rocket jump) until you land. If there's another way to get the audio log without having to use the springboard that'd be great... but the video I'm following is using the launch pad, so, I'm not sure.

I've tried everything.. jumping, walking, sprinting up to the launch pad. I've just spent the last 20 minutes trying to get the chest that's up in the tree, right about in the middle of the map at the very bottom. It's SO FRUSTRATING. I don't understand why it's not launching me far enough. I play PC version but with an xbox remote, but I've tried keyboard controls as well. I've tried different characters. I don't get it. 

@ToastedSarnieThanks so much for your help 🙂 I eventually just gave up earlier.. I managed to find an alternate route to the high ledge with the 10th audio log, but for the chest up in the tree at the bottom of the map, I couldn't figure it out. I saw a video where someone used super brains to just jump up there... but I couldn't figure out how to get him to jump that high. His Hyper Jump Thump doesn't even get me close.

@ToastedSarnieThank you so much for taking the time to look into it, I really appreciate it. I wonder if something is wrong with my system or something, because I hit it straight on, or at an angle, and it doesn't get me up there. My computer is new... I don't see why that would affect anything, but it's the only thing I can think of is that something in my system is slow or laggy so it's not pumping me up all the way. I have nearly 100% in all the areas; the only things I have difficulty with are challenges or bosses that involve jumping. I can't even beat the boss in Mount Steep because I absolutely cannot make the jumps it requires when the cheese is rising, when players in the videos/guides make it seem so easy - which is why it makes me believe it may just be me. So, for the time being I'll keep trying to figure out what my issue is. Thanks for taking the time to help me out! I really appreciate it 🙂

I went to Weirding Woods to try the chest you are having trouble with and used soldier and this is the result:

I will try unequipping everything to see if that helps, it certainly couldn't hurt at this point! haha. I wish I had the capabilities to record my screen so I could show you what's happening, but I don't. Though at this point don't think it really matters lol. It's been nice to meet such nice players! I'm behind on this thread as the title threw me off but as a PC player, @asabaida (and a few other forum regulars) is on my Origin friend list and while it's been awhile (partly due to my friends list issues) we've played together quite a bit! I'm also available for help with boss fights and such. 

As far this spring board, I'd have to look into this and see how easy/difficult it is to reach it. If all else fails, we can just join up and you can show us in game what's going on and hopefully we can help. My Origin tag is of course my name in this post. 

I’m on PS4 myself but I also had an issue with one of the booster pads not launching me properly- like you no matter what I did I would always fall short of the platform.

I wound up giving up on it for a while and then came back to it a day or two later to find it working fine and I made it in one try despite not doing anything new-I had to conclude that it was a temporary issue with the game itself.

@realitysquaredI hope that is the issue! I revisit this location about once a week for the last 3 to 4 weeks. hopefully one day it will be fixed and work for me properly! Thank you for your response, it gives me hope! hahah xD
