From what we've seen this issue has been fixed by the latest patch and shouldn't be causing further issues.
If you haven't completely powered down your console since the update I would recommend that first. Once the console is off unplug the power cable for 60 seconds before rebooting. If that doesn't fix things then please try the suggestion by @TaasteTheRainbow to perform a fresh install.

I've just experience something that also resembled the old profile bug. Logged in to find my one items changed to one I had equipped previously (but after 1.03), even though in the meantime I have been running around with a different one for days. When I checked, I found at least 2 other characters also had wrong items..
Edit: The item is missing completely. It was the silver version of the Chappie-style robot-visor for the All-Star, and one of the hats for the pirate. Possibly more. I am running a repair on my installation as I write this, fingers crossed.
Edit2: I found it now, and I think I also looked wrong - under helmets instead of accessories. Still strange and worrying that the selected item got reset.
Hi and thank you for your comment. is there any risk of losing my saved data after removing and reinstalling the game?
and by the way, from time to time, I can enter the game without replaying the tutorial but it happens like once in 10 beginnings.

@Mephane - glad you got them back, strange that they reset, let us know if you keep finding things like this.
@futureisbora - you shouldn't lose anything by reinstalling the game. Everything is stored on your account so once you log back in it'll all still be there.

@EA_Andy unfortunately neither plug out nor fresh install worked out for me. I still have to replay the tutorial. any opinions left?
