[Request] Retired PvZ Player's GW2 Wishlist

Hello everyone! 👋

I am the player formerly known as MrJTGaming and also the YouTuber Mr. JT. I recently retired from PvZ games and social media back in September to focus on my personal life (mainly my marriage), but I have heard from some anonymous sources that there's been a community uproar here on these forums. I came here to see what it was all about and I was astounded to see we have a new community manager @EA_Shepard who's actively listening to the fans' requests and submitting them to the higher-ups at EA. With that in mind, I've compiled a "wishlist" of things in GW2 I'd like to see EA bring to the community.

VERY HIGH PRIORITY (NEEDS ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY)

1. Fully patch the "ban exploit" that is used to brick people's accounts from joining multiplayer and make sure all the people who were hit by it are unbanned.

2. Remove the console commands that are left over in GW2's code. These allow cheaters to skip maps in rotation, instantly build the teleporter at any time, and pause the timer in Turf Takeover.

3. Replace the client sided buffs in the files with server sided ones. It's because of these client buffs that cheaters can mass apply buffs to themselves and/or to other players in the lobby.

4. Completely take out the debug menu from the game. Although most of its features are useless, there are still some working aspects that can be used online. These include pausing the Capture the Taco timer and enabling certain Crazy Settings.

5. Re-enable Fairfight and make it scan for invalid weapons, such as the Infinity Mech lasers.

HIGH PRIORITY (REALLY SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO)

1. Update the monthly rotation of the Townhall's Mystery Portal. Currently it has a very lame schedule (in my opinion) and after browsing further on these forums, I have found some much better fan-made ones. With that being said, I'd like to throw my own rotation into the ring:

January - Cats vs. Dinos

February - Soil Survivors

March - Brothers Gnomus Boss Hunt

April - Capture the Taco

May - Legends of the Brawl

June - Sasquatch Boss Hunt

July - Heavy Fire

August - Lunchtime at the Lab (ban Astronaut AND Paleontologist)

September - Triple-F Frenzy

October - Spooky Squash Boss Hunt

November - Tactical Team-up

December - Yeti King Boss Hunt

This will allow players to get the currently unobtainable Cats vs. Dinos and Boss Hunt achievements, as well as just spice up the variety of game modes. Speaking of unobtainable achievements, that leads into #2.

2. Bring back the Community Challenges. There are two achievements for this that cannot be obtained since Community Challenges were discontinued back in 2020. I don't really have an opinion on which ones should come back, just that they should return so 100% completionist players can be satisfied.

MEDIUM PRIORITY (THESE WOULD BE NICE)

1. Update Rux's rotation to include legendary consumables, like DJ Uplink and Monk Choy, and also the costumes for Torchwood and Hover-Goat that were added in the Capture the Taco DLC (that came out five years ago today, wow). You could also add stickers of legendary characters back to the shop at a reasonably high price, as I'm sure some players would prefer buying the pieces rather than fishing for them in 35K packs.

2. Bring back the seasonal NPCs. I know the Sleepy Bat appears every October, but the others like the Snowman, Rabbit, and Mr. Lucky have not appeared in years and should make a comeback.

LOW PRIORITY (FANTASIES, BUT COULD BECOME A THING)

1. Clean up all the various bugs and glitches that are in the game. My friend AllyJax made a mod that corrects the vast majority of them, and you can look through the document here to see all of the issues: Polish Patch Full Patchnotes - Google Docs

2. Host another Community Challenge in February where the Twilight Chomper is the reward for completing it. Right now, the only way to get him is by purchasing the Midnight Snack upgrade. I personally believe the community should have another shot at unlocking him through an in-game event, however.

3. Update the Private Play terminal to include Wall-nut Hills in the GnG selection, and add all the Mystery Portal exclusive events as selectable game modes (Soil Survivors, Capture the Taco, maybe even Boss Hunt?).

4. Expand the private play player cap from 4 to at least 8 players. This will allow for more interesting experiences with friends in the Backyard.

5. Make a final balance patch for the game that nerfs the OP characters and buffs the weaker characters. Talk to GW2 veterans to get the best ideas on what stats should be changed.

Well there you go, those are my suggestions as a retired PvZ player who played from 2017-2023. If you guys have any more suggestions that I didn't cover, state them in the replies. As you might expect, I am busy irl but will try to respond when I am able to.

And Shepard, if you're reading this, please forward this to your bosses up at EA. I really would appreciate that!

Thank you,

-Mr. JT
