Teenager can't upgrade from child account

Hi,

my daughter is 15 and according to this information https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/online-access-for-child-accounts/#agerequirements she should be able to upgrade to a teen account from age 13 (Sweden). I want her to be able to download games from the online shop, which is not possible from child accounts.

The problem is that she has not recieved a notification about the possibility to upgrade, which is said to occur automatically when they become old enough (here, not only about aging up to adult but also to teen: Origin - How to update an EA Account to an adult account)

Anyone who has a solution, or at least an idea of what the problem might be?

@TheSprinter85 Thanks, but she has a child account. That means it was registered with my e-mail address (years ago). She is not able to register her own e-mail as she can’t log in online. An e-mail address is required to link her account to mine. Can’t see how to work around this. :-( She really needs that prompt to age up, but how to get it beats me.

@MossanSandisIn that case, it may be worth contacting EA Help (help.ea.com) and letting them know about the issue, as it is likely that others have run into that issue as well, and it does not really make sense that your child cannot simply register their email.
