toxic citron op?

Since they started the free week of citron v imp, i've only played against pure citron teams

and you can't really vanquish them as they tend to stay grouped up so the can stack their toxic damage on you

  • My thoughts exactly. I played TT for two hours this after noon on the west server on Xbox, took me almost the whole time to get a zombie win. Only after the toxic citrons were sheading themselves from the game (or players changing characters) we began to have some luck. One game had like 5-6 toxic citrons. If they grouped I was doing just fine with them as I would rocket them with foot soilder but I think the newer players were a little bit taken back and took them a while to adjust. Should have given a stronger zombie character to counter.
  • This tends to happen when the rarer characters are offered in the Hero Showcase; the newer players will jump on the chance to play a character which they don't have already and since Citrons tend to be fairly popular with the newer players it's only natural to see them be more populous.

A group of them working together can be difficult but there are tactics and characters which can be used to effectively counter.

The frustration is valid. I've switched back to the park ranger to give them a taste of their own medicine. Zoom zoom pa Dow on that fat face!

    Not OP.

Toxic Citron is quiet weak in a 1v1, but incredibly annoying and effective when bombarding groups.

I am actually surprised that so many people troll with E. Citron, but almost no one ever plays T. Citron.

In my book T. Citron is an excellent "Suppressive Fire" character, that makes people run from areas. So multiple of them can deny you basically every spot on the map.

I agree he is not OP, though just as you described, a really good player or multiples can really make a game frustrating, .  Try him out on a boss hunt or crazy ops and you'll discover that his DPS is somewhat lacking.  I mastered him easily in ops, but I've never done well with him in multiplayer.  But then I've never been much good with characters who should keep out of the way and support from a distance.  Same with characters like alien flower and rec'rose.  I seem to lack the self discipline and/or positioning skill.

Classic statement by @dwooten77, I've been using the Park Ranger often too with heavy hit rocket to break up the charade...
