Answers to Recent Merge Academy & Solitaire Home Story FAQs!

I've been seeing many identical posts lately about Merge Academy and Solitaire Home Story, which makes sense because people are frustrated with the service they have paid for. However, more posts does not equate faster progress. So, I thought I would try to develop a comprehensive guide to help people with these glitchy games.

First and foremost: Before you post a new topic/question, see if it has already been asked. Type some key words in the search bar or scroll through the most recent posts for answers. If you are having the same issue as someone else, either comment on the existing thread or press the "me too" button. Lots of traction on a single post tends to boost issues faster than scattered, sporadic ideas!

Secondly, neither Merge Academy nor Solitaire Home Story is owned by Pogo. Pogo just houses these games on the site. This means that any time there needs to be an update, Pogo has to wait for a third-party site. Naturally, fixes come slower as a result for these games. We can all agree that this makes badge completion for these games more challenging and arguably unfair, but that is a debate for another time and place.

Now, for Merge Academy: It is true that energy is currently not replenishing while outside the game. Some people have been able to fix this by clearing their cache, history, and cookies, and then restarting their computer as well. If this does not work for you, then you can keep the game open to accumulate energy. It takes a bit but is better than 0 energy forever.

  • The other hot topic is the sewing machine. If you do not have it yet, worry not. Continue selling items for gems until you get some of the early generator pieces. Eventually, you should be able to snag yourself the coveted generator itself. Here is a great guide regarding all item makeups.
  • If you deleted your tree, you should be able to eventually make a new one the same way.
  • Always click the map on the bottom of the gaming screen to save your progress!!! Otherwise, you might lose the energy and progress you have made after all that waiting!!!

Finally, Solitaire Home Story. Some people are losing stars. Some people are gaining random stars. Honestly, I have no idea what the fix is. Like everything else regarding Pogo, feel free to clear cookies, cache, and history, and restart your device. Otherwise, we can all commiserate together. Huzzah.

  • Unless you are a tech, I would suggest not giving advice. You stated that you are not affiliated with Pogo. I will not listen to your long winded post. Have a tech get back to us.

    The purpose of Answers HQ is for players to give fellow players advice. Therefore, if people like me did not make posts like this, there would be no peer solutions granted for any games at all. I am sorry you are frustrated, but the solutions I have provided here have worked for many people...same with user @abbycattx. If they have not worked for you, then you will have to simply wait until Pogo receives updates from the third party sites. 

    Pogo mods on this site have verified that they are aware of the issue. Contacting them, therefore, will likely get you sent back here to Answers HQ. The best we can hope for from Pogo themselves is a timeline because their own techs will not be able to fix anything from an external game. Again, I am sorry you are experiences troubles, and I hope that you can enjoy some other games in the meantime.

    There IS no way to contact them directly and you know this. Try to fool someone else. I will no longer listen to your excuses.

    So just as a general note, people who are associated with EA (Pogo's overarching company) have that with their username and they have special icons. Therefore, you can see that I am not with EA or Pogo. I am just a normal human who recently graduated college LOL.

    😊Hello!.

    The EA Community Mangers and the AHQ Official, monitor postings 24/7 for players around the world. If they see this posting as unfit, they will delete it. Let's please not discourage players from helping one another, we all need help from time to time.

    This Pogo Player's posting is an opinion on an open forum during a time of distress & confusion is to help - why take the time? Because they care about other players. We are in this together as a community of Pogo. 

    Also, if you search around this site, you can see forums for all of the EA games, players helping players is common. This is not designed for tech only responses, unfortunately. It would be nice though.

    🌷I have given you the steps of how to contact Customer Service in another posting, please take a look when you have the time. I promise Electronic Arts has not filled their Customer Service only with bots, this is a misunderstanding.
