Can't get Gems!!

When I try to add gems, the prompt tells me my card has expired.  It hasn't, I double check, and it's the card listed on my Account page.  I'm afraid to reenter the information on the Gem checkout page for fear that I've somehow been hacked.

just go to edit your card,  It has been removing the CVS code so you just have to put it back in for the purchase to go through.  Almost all the time does the same thing now.

Thank you for following up so quickly.  I rebooted, and checked the website, and asked google to verify, then closed my eye, held my breath and reentered my card info.  I got a message saying that card was already on file (uh, yeah!), so I clicked to edit the card on the gem site.  That worked!!  I'm feeling cautiously great that all is well with the world lol.

Again, thank you for your patience.

Hello! I want to assure you of one thing 100%

    • Any webpage should show "https://" and a lock icon in your browser (click on the lock to see if the connection is secure)
    • The URL should remain on pogo.com or ea.com domains
    • Electronic Arts (EA/Pogo) maintains a vigilant and sophisticated security infrastructure. Their global operations are backed by continuous monitoring, threat detection systems, and dedicated teams that respond swiftly to any suspicious activity. They would definitely detect and shut down any fraudulent sites operating within their network very quickly.

"How do I know this is legit, since nothing changed on my end."

That's a legitimate worry, and I will take a moment to explore this in depth. 🤓

Computer systems evolve constantly and daily (no matter the website or device we use). Security protocols, server configurations, updates, patches, etc., programs shift frequently on devices behind the scenes or at other times alert us by asking for our approval or notifying us. This is why you may here "clear your cookies and cache" often — it’s a way to reset the conversation and create a clean slate by giving our browser a fresh start, it wipes out outdated or corrupted data that might be interfering with how websites load or function.

This is what I highly suggest:

    • Clear your Cookies & Cache > Pogo Troubleshooting Guide | EA Forums - 10424301
    • Pogo is a browser-based gaming site, ensuring your browser is up to date is imperative (this is how Pogo and our devices communicate)
    • Use incognito/private browsing mode - This bypasses stored cookies and extensions that might be causing conflicts.
    • Ensure EA.com and Pogo.com are on your whitelist within your antivirus.
    •  If the problem persists, try using a different browser to see if the issue is browser-specific.

Because this is a public forum only troubleshooting steps and general direction can be given, for further conversations about your account, you can speak with EA Help privately through their secure channels, here are the steps to contact EA Help > [POGO] How to Contact EA Support | EA Forums - 12464874

No matter what choice you make, always keep in mind that your comfort and well-being are priority. Research and information have no limit, take your time to move ahead.

Thank you for your response!  I had previously tried everything you suggest.  Here's what's going on:

    1. The first time I click on "buy gems" from the home page, I get a message that says I'm on the wrong page.
    2. When I try again, I can now go to the page to select which option I want.
    3. When I click on my choice (2,250 gems) the card image says "expired" with a button that says "add card".
    4. I then back out and go to my Profile and go to "my account" then scroll down to "billing and subscription" and the card listed expired 2/2027, which is correct.

To be clear, I purchase lots and lots of gems (more than I should lol).  So I'm very suspicious when the site is now incorrectly telling me to enter my credit card information.  How do I know this is legit, since nothing changed on my end.  I've used the card all the time! and the card matches the card listed on my account page.

One hint that it's a glitch on your side is that this happened the same day you fixed the problem I was having in Merge Academy.  I don't know if there's a connection, but the timing is suspicious.

I'm not going to buy any more gems until I can feel comfortable that someone isn't trying to scam me.  Which is unfortunate because I love Pogo and buy almost all the badges, as well as tons of energy in Merge Academy.

Hello! There are a few methods we can utilize to update our information without needing to do so during the checkout process.

    1. Visit your My Account on Pogo, scroll down until you see the option for Billing & Subscription
    2. Additionally, from the My Account page you can also access your EA/Pogo account by clicking on Manage on EA.com link. This will send you to EA Help where our main accounts can be found. Upon entering EA Help you can log on by using your Pogo information.
