Merge Academy Crate of Apples Still Not Working

In merge academy, my Crate of Apples will not generate new apples by either opening up spaces beside it or clicking on it.  Just stopped working a few days ago.  I was hoping it would fix itself, but now I have apple pies to make and I cannot fill the orders because the apples won't spawn.  

Can the developers look into this?  I have cleared cache and tried on several devices so it isn't on my end.
