Pogo Feedback: Fix the Mahjong Challenge and Restore Player Value
Immediate Issue: Streak Challenge Not Tracking
The “Streak Challenge” at the top of the page in the Mahjong Sanctuary game — “Win 7 consecutive levels on the first try”—is not working. I have completed multiple consecutive games twice, yet the counter stays at 0/7.
Either the instructions omit an important requirement—such as avoiding power-ups or returning pieces to the board—or the challenge is broken. Completing seven games in a row is already difficult and time-consuming; receiving no credit is discouraging, especially because the next daily challenge stays locked until this one is completed.
Players have reported the same issue for months without a resolution. Please confirm the requirements, fix the tracking, and communicate the solution.
Although this issue may seem minor, challenge rewards help players earn power-ups without having to buy gems.
Broader Concerns
I returned to Pogo after many years because medical issues gave me more downtime and I wanted to see how the platform had evolved. I continue to support Pogo because of its community, but unresolved bugs, confusing support channels, and increasingly expensive gameplay are making that loyalty difficult to sustain.
Support and Quality Control
- Replace the outdated, difficult-to-navigate support forum with a clearer path for reporting and resolving technical problems.
- Assess new games and challenges before release and verify they are free of bugs immediately afterward.
- Acknowledge recurring issues and provide visible status updates instead of leaving players to repeat the same complaints.
Pricing and Rewards
- Offer better value for gems, power-ups, and membership fees.
- Extend play sessions instead of exhausting energy after roughly ten minutes and requiring another purchase.
- Align challenge difficulty with rewards so players are not forced into a repetitive cycle of spending power-ups to earn more power-ups.
For example, in MONOPOLY Sudoku, one Foresight power-up costs 40 gems. With 55 gems priced at $4.99, a single power-up costs about $3.63 yet provides only a brief advantage in one game. That imbalance undermines enjoyment rather than encouraging long-term play.
Poker Features and Player Choice
Texas Hold’em Poker once gave longtime members a reason to stay because they could play with friends and customize the experience. Restoring that flexibility would strengthen both gameplay and community.
Requested Improvements
- Let players create tables, choose opponents, set house rules and ante amounts, and organize private tournaments.
- Allow beginners to play together, challenge experienced players, or watch and chat without joining a game.
- Restore flexible betting instead of automatically pushing players toward higher stakes.
- Improve matchmaking so friends can play together and tables fill faster.
- Rework the division system so it reflects skill rather than simply rewarding frequent play.
- Reduce the size of the chat panel and make switching between lobby and table chat easier.
Why Longtime Players Remain
Pogo is more than a collection of games. The majority of members use it to relax, stay connected, and reduce isolation. Over the years, casual chats have grown into lasting friendships with people we may never meet but can trust, confide in, and lean on for support.
One of my closest Pogo friends was Jim Barrus, known as user JBarrus. We used the platform to escape everyday pressures, laugh, and create a small virtual world together. We eventually lost touch, and I believe he passed away during my time away from Pogo. I still miss him. Connections like ours explain why longtime players care so deeply about the platform’s future.
A Constructive Path Forward
Pogo does not need to compete only for younger mobile players. It can also serve the loyal audience that still values PC gaming, familiar titles, badges, challenges, and community.

- Deliver reliable challenges, longer play sessions, and meaningful rewards.
- Preserve the social and customizable features that distinguish Pogo from other gaming platforms.
