I am having the same issue and have the other game badges completed for the event badge. I won't be able to finish without playing Slots. I typically don't play that game. I'm on a MacBook Pro running sequoia 15.3.1. It's very frustrating!! I get the same screen that you do and it just runs and runs. They need to fix this.
