Re: [Resolved] Eset AV, Preventing games from loading

Hoping for a speedy repair on your end Ok I use eset as my anti virus and when the boxed popped up blocking both tri peaks and word whomp it comes up with the same application issue which is (JS/Packed.Agent.H) so I did my own investigating on the web by looking this application up It's a Trojan so someone on your staff who has worked on these few games has a Trojan on their computer and has infected those games which need to be repaired as well as looked into before the person works on more games and infects them. Thank you

I think you are right and Pogo needs to fix right away.  Several in my family will cancel Pogo if this does not get fixed.  Eset has always protected my computer, no way I will go around it and let Pogo infect it just to play games.

  • If you go to Eset Forum look under malware find and cleaning and click on topic Club Pogo and selective games blocked by eset.  They given a solution on there.and I hope it will help the ones having issues with games

I have done that and all caem out clean. I ran it on Edge and Chrome..Nothing. Computer was clean..So that does not work. Thanks

  • If you go to Eset Setup and then Advance Setup. Then go to real time and machine learning protection and scroll down  to exclusions settings and go  to detection exclusions go to edit  then add and put in JS/Packed.Agent.H in detection name  click okay and it should be good.

@teddybear20010Run a computer Scan first..Click on Tools -Advance ( bottom right corner ) -Log Files. Go thru to find the one that says JS/Packed.Agent H..Click on the file and hit Create exclusion at the bottom. I had 32 and held down the ctrl button and clicked on each one..Then hit create exclusion button at the bottom. It worked.

@teddybear20010 Can you explain why we should make our eset to ignore something flagged as a Trojan? How is this.."Should be good"? That is what I am seeing JS/Packed.Agent H is....a trojan. I am not convinced that this work around is the best option when it sounds like POGO has an issue and it appears to be spreading!

@peachfromplumthis is what Eset Forum has on their forum. If you go to Eset forum and look under malware and cleaning there is a post about Club Pogo games being blocked. I"m only going off of that right now.  I'm not advising to do it, it is up to you

@teddybear20010I agree.. I have tried it and got into all games..Not forcing anyone to try it..Just a thought..I got this from ESET themselves, from the community manager He put up pictures on how to do it  step by step under ESET Forum. I wouldn't believe that ESET would tell us to release a Trojan and actually tell us how to do it.But what I have been getting advertisements for the last couple of months or so only on Pogo..I can't get rid of them.ESET has been wrong also. They took over a week to fix Bank and Security. I could no get into it .I had to pay bills and had to do it in person. What a waste. Almost did not renew with them either.

Could you put the link out there, so I could try it too.  Having the same problems.

@teddybear20010  Thanks, but just because it's on Eset's community forum doesn't mean it came from Eset or an Eset recommendation..  Thanks for mentioning where you got it though.  Maybe others are comfortable with this solution, but to me it's a "workaround" rather than an answer this issue.  I don't know why Pogo isn't really addressing this, that I can see.

If you go back to the Eset forum this what the  Administrators have said The detection will be changed to aggressive so it won't be detected unless you change the detection sensitivity threshold for suspicious applications. So I have tried the games in Firefox and I now don't get that message plus i have deleted the exclusion
