Solitaire Home Story - not adding time lives bonuses

I win extra time but don’t get credit as of today. Last week and weeks before it might add one lives time bonus but not any additions.

I am using iPad but the calculation programming should be website based. It used to obsure the life count when BON’s uses added.

Exceptionally, frustrating because interferes with progress to next games in challenge! I am not good at this game but I have learned to try to access daily if not several times a day to try to win challenges but without time and other bonuses it is impossible!

  • Several games will not load for me.  Or they load to start page to play, then nothing.

Hello! Sorry to hear your time bonuses aren't being credited in Solitaire Home Story on your iPad. This is frustrating when you need those bonuses for challenges!

This appears to be a sync issue between your game and Pogo's servers. Try these steps:

Force quit Safari completely (swipe up and flick Safari away)

    Clear Safari's Pogo data:

    • Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data
    • Search "pogo" and delete entries
    • Hard restart iPad (hold power + home until Apple logo appears)
    • Log out of Pogo, then log back in to force a fresh sync

Recommended Maintenance for Apple/Safari Users: Clear Safari website data for Pogo every 2-3 days, turn off "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking for Pogo specifically, regularly restart Safari (Cmd+Q, not just closing window).

This isn't a flaw - Apple prioritizes your privacy over website functionality. But for browser-based gaming, this means more maintenance. It's important to understand that Safari handles cache and cookies more aggressively than other browsers, which requires more frequent maintenance for browser-based gaming.

Additional comment: "I am using iPad but the calculation programming should be website based. It used to obsure the life count when BON’s uses added."

You raise a good point about expecting calculations to be website-based. However, with browser-based games, there's actually a complex interaction between:

    • Server-side calculations (on Pogo's end) - scores, bonuses, rewards
    • Client-side display (on your device) - visual elements, animations
    • Local storage (Safari on iPad) - temporary game state, visual preferences

When you earn time bonuses, the server calculates and credits them, but your iPad/Safari must properly display and sync this information. If Safari's aggressive cookie management interrupts this communication, the display can become out of sync with the actual calculation.

Hello! Multiple games freezing at the start page on Mac is typically a Safari compatibility issue. Let's fix this:

    Quick Safari fixes:

    1. Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
    2. Delete all entries for "pogo.com" and "ea.com"
    3. Uncheck "Prevent cross-site tracking"
    4. Restart Safari completely (Cmd+Q)

    If still not loading:

    • System Settings → Privacy & Security → ensure Safari has permissions
    • Try reducing display resolution temporarily (some Macs struggle with WebGL)
    • Try Chrome or another browser for Mac

Why this happens on Mac: Safari prioritizes privacy over compatibility, automatically deleting game data it considers "tracking." This causes games to lose connection mid-load. You'll need to clear Safari data every few days, and utilize the steps given in the other posting.

Hello! Sorry to hear that, this is definitely a tough badge to get- filling the meter with all black cards can be very difficult and timely.

If we have been within a specific game or even on the Pogo site awhile it takes a lot of cookies and cache - each game leaves different cookies and cache - at times these can become old, corrupt and broken and affect our registering.

Log out of Pogo and Clearing Cache & Cookies

Why Clearing Cache & Cookies Matter

    • Improve website performance by removing outdated files
    • Fix login and session issues caused by corrupted cookies
    • Resolve glitches, bugs, and display errors
    • Enhance privacy by removing tracking data
    • Fixes most loading issues
    • Gives our device a clean slate to perform

Another step I take regularly to boost device performance is power cycling the router.

Many of us leave our routers running 24/7, over time, routers accumulate logs and temporary data, which can slow down performance or cause issues. Giving them a break helps clear out that clutter and refresh the connection.

How to: Unplug your router, let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then plug it back in (easy). Doing this once a week or even biweekly can make a noticeable difference — especially if you’re gaming, streaming, or working remotely.

I hope this helps and good luck on getting your black card streaks - I know you can do it 🎉
