Trying to renew subscription; error trying to use Paypal

I'm trying to renew my Club Pogo subscription. Pogo offered me 37% off of the yearly price. Okay, so I'm biting. Problem is whenever I try to pay through Paypal I get this screen saying "Order Not Completed." And it doesn't make sense to me because my Paypal account is already on file with Pogo. It has been for several years now. If I go to try and buy gems my Paypal account already comes up as my primary payment method. What exactly is going on here? Is it the site itself? I've tried to renew my subscription through Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Still the same result.

Oh and the "file a report" link is absolutely useless. It sends me to the FAQ where it doesn't tell me anything about this ongoing issue. Nor can I find any link to open up an actual case dispute to get help from an actual employee. It is absolutely impossible to contact Pogo/EA support. I guess they don't want my money even at a sweet discount. Discount runs out on October 10th. If I can't get it renewed by then I'm not going to bother trying to renew my subscription. I'm not paying full price.

  • I've already talked to two people in EA's chat and it's been useless. No real information. All they do is tell me to pay by card or download some dumb app to pay through EA Wallet. Yeah..no thanks.

    Here's an option: Not renewing at all because the site sucks now. Hardly any good games and the badges are terrible. Was only renewing for the huge discount but not worth the headache even for that.

  • I have also been a Pogo Club member since 2007.  I have tried 6 times now to renew my subscription using PayPal, starting with my automatic renewal not going through, and making manual attempts daily since (except yesterday).

    A gems purchase via PayPal several months ago went through perfectly and instantly, and I made no changes in my account between then and when my automatic renewal failed. There is no reason for the PayPal option to suddenly not work.

    After each attempt to renew my subscription using PayPal, I got an email from Pogo saying that "action was required" and so I tried again, only to repeat the vicious cycle the next day. 

    I have contacted PayPal customer service (where they still have humans) and they cannot see any transactions from Pogo or EA -- yes, these were not declined; they were actually not even attempted.  The issue is completely on Pogo/EA's side of the equation.

    Since there is no longer conventional (email/phone/chat) human customer service from Pogo, I have attempted to contact Pogo/EA service using a Google Docs customer service form link that I found on our forums by searching through them.  Though the link is a couple of years old, the document was available and the form was submitted (I got a confirmation) -- but Pogo just apparently isn't reading these.

    I skipped a day in my daily vicious cycle re-attempts to renew my subscription yesterday, and so today I got an email stating that my subscription has expired!  I tried using PayPal again after "expiration" and got the screen shown in the original poster's screenshot.  Although it implies that a report can be filed, there is no way to file such a report -- which is why the original poster and I have resorted to putting these messages on this forum.

    So... I have decided that I still want to renew my subscription, unlike the original poster.  I don't know what the PayPal transaction issue is on Pogo's end, but because they don't have any human customer service and the automated system is useless to try to fix it, I will try using a credit card instead of PayPal for automatic renewal from now on.  IF ANYONE FROM POGO IS READING THIS, I WOULD STILL REALLY LIKE TO RECEIVE THE 100 GEMS AND FREE MONTH THAT I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED WITH THE AUTOMATIC RENEWAL.  Thank you.

  • I have been having trouble with my account as well. Nothing has changed with my payment account. My paypal and bank account have been charged but when I look at my EA Account, it says the charges failed. Pogo will let me renew but then the next day, my subscription is cancelled. I have contacted EA Support and they said I need to report on my end thru this forum thing. I don't see how that is going to help.
