To the SimCity BuildIt Development and Support Team,
This is my third communication regarding the destructive impact of the Service 2.0 Update. The situation is no longer a failure of the grace period—it is a complete, unrecoverable collapse of a long-term, high-level city.
The Escalating Crisis and Systemic Damage:
Population Collapse: My population has now plummeted from the initial 7.2 million down to 4.2 million. This is a permanent, irreparable loss of 3 million residents.
Second Service Failure (Water): Following the Power failure (which cost 500K NeoSimoleons), the city is now experiencing a severe Water shortage everywhere. This confirms the new service capacity system has failed across all essential utilities.
Financial Ruin: My daily tax collection has plummeted from over 50,000 Simoleons/day to a catastrophic 20,000 Simoleons/day. I am now unable to generate the basic Simoleons needed to fund essential repair materials.
Expanded Costs: I have now discovered that ControlNet and Drone services are also subject to expensive capacity upgrades, compounding the mandatory NeoSimoleon expenditure far beyond the initial Power fix.
Unrecoverable State: With continuous abandoned buildings, collapsing tax revenue, and successive service failures, the city is now in a state where in-game recovery is impossible without massive, unearned resource injection.
Total Loss Summary:
- Permanent Population Loss: approx 3,000,000
- Forced NeoSimoleon Cost: 500,000 (and climbing)
- Tax Revenue Loss: 30,000 Simoleons per day
Club Impact: This systemic failure makes it impossible for me to lead and contribute to my 18-member Club, threatening player retention and the social aspect of the game.
Demand for Intervention:
I demand immediate, high-level intervention. This is no longer a minor bug—it is an event that has effectively destroyed a meticulously built veteran city.
- Full Restoration: I require the restoration of my city to its pre-update population and tax revenue levels.
- Full Reimbursement: Reimbursement for the 500,000 NeoSimoleons spent and compensation for all lost Simoleons and materials used on repairs.
- Fix or Grandfather: You must either fix this systemic service capacity bug immediately or implement a "grandfather" clause that sets the capacity of all pre-update services to match the city's highest historical demand.
I expect an urgent, substantive response regarding the remediation of this catastrophic game failure.
