Boost: +100% Seasonal Currency - Paid for, have not received

I purchased the +100% Seasonal Currency boost for this week right at the start of the new Contest of Mayors, and have not received the boost. I still have the option of buying and paying for the boost again.

Payment clearly shows up both in my Google Play order history and on my credit card.

Please refund me, or activate the boost.

I would report to PayPal. It’s fairly easy to get a refund from PayPal if you report that you did not receive what you purchased

  • Many of us are facing the same issue and it doesn't seem like EA actually cares. I've been in contact with Customer Service for two weeks now. All they've done so far, after asking for proofs of payment, is asking for my patience and saying that they've reported the issue to the team that needs to fix it. That's it.

Nothing in terms of what sort of solution (refund, belated activation of the boost, compensation by simply giving more pumpkins) they're working on.

I created a thread more than two weeks ago, on the first or second day the boost went live and have been in contact with them for almost as long. I'm still waiting for some actual useful information. I paid for two weeks of the boosts, the second time even after they asked me to buy it again to see if it worked. Even if they activate it now, with only a week and a half or so left in the event, I won't be getting what I paid for and I'm making no progress whatsoever in terms of other solutions.

Honestly I'm this close to contacting both Google (PlayStore), PayPal (payment processor) and the necessary authorities and report the game for fraudulent behaviour. Cause that's what it's beginning to look like if people are paying for boosts, not getting them and then get ignored. Frankly it's beyond ridiculous that people have to wait for weeks for an issue like this to be fixed. At the very least they could give us our money back while they work on fixing the issue.

Yes, it's only a few dollars or Euros. But at this point it's also about the principle. This is no way to treat paying customers, taking their hard-earned money and then simply not delivering what they paid for, while you keep offering and even recommending they buy the product again.

  • There's no-one here that is able to help - you'll need to go through the in-game support system or contact your app store for a refund.
