Crashes, lag and no parks!

 I vastly reduced my population to manage the services 2 update.  Now there is the mass transit update the repeated crashing is even worse. 

I can't replace roads due to the pink pixelated screen of death.  Moving to regions causes a crash back to the iPad home screen.  I can't put in or move existing parks.  It just crashes.  The game remains laggy. 

I don't use the iPad for anything except this game.  I clear the cache daily.  I don't have any buildings that create effects.  I've turned off absolutely everything on the iPad yet the game still doesn't work.  The new update also requires extra upgrades to control net, drones, regional services, which makes no sense. 

After 10 years, it's just making me annoyed.  The gambling adverts say "when the fun stops, STOP" and I've reached that point now.  I am not buying a new device as I suspect it won't make any difference. 

My team members use a variety of devices and we all have the same issues.  We're a global team so it's not a geographic issue.

If it's a hardware issue then why did thousands of people using a variety of devices start complaining around the same time ?
