Icons for items suddenly shrunk in size

Today, SimCity Buildit started displaying icons for items - from factories and commercial shops, for example - at about half the size they were yesterday.

I've attached a screenshot where I've zoomed in as far as possible. Notice two things: the HUD overlay is properly sized: for example, the population counter is the same size as it was yesterday as are the icons at the bottom left of the screen and at the far right. But the flour sacks, pizzas, hammers, etc. shown in the middle of the screen - as well as factory items which are not shown - are very small and do not get bigger as I zoom. In other words, they are the same small size whether I'm zoomed all the way out or all the way in. They are much smaller than they were yesterday. They're so small that they are difficult to press my finger on them. The game is playable but more tedious.

I've restarted the game and my phone, but it didn't help. Any ideas how to get them back to normal size? I'm playing on a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 running the latest version of Android. SCBI is also up-to-date.
