iPad storage used by SimCity Buildit has a life of it’s own.

Hi

Anyone else monitor the amount of storage used by SimCity buildit ??

I have a ninth gen IPad Pro running IOS 26.6.

I have been all the cities opened up etc.

I think when I first delete and reinstall, the game uses about 375mb of storage.

After about a fortnight it is now 885mb. The worst I saw it get to was about 7 or 8gb.

Seems possibly to use up more space after lockups. E.g. When you get the error 17 message.

It's not specifically an Apple thing, the same happens on Android.

  • It’s all to do with Apple not EA, save your game either in game centre, fb EA and Apple to then be able to restore your city after you delete it. It will remove all the useless files that isn’t needed

  • Every couple of seasons of so I do a clear up by deleting the game files and restoring from the web backup. Kris the storage size down to a reasonable amount. Otherwise you're filling your device up with a bunch of unneeded junk files. E.g. every DC entry you get to vote on gets stored locally, over time it adds up.

  • I am using a 10th generation iPad and it is using nearly 9 gbs. I still have over 200gb but like you keep getting the error 17. This has been reported many times and has been going on for months. I constantly have to restart the game. Instead of adding these new useless features why not sort out these errors?
