The reply from EA is:-
Allow me to inform you that Sometimes, the game undergoes scheduled server maintenance. Great, and what is the solution for the players who got &$#@ by this? This costs me about 38.000 in seasonal currency and the building itself ...
I reported as a bug, the only way I could find passes the chatbot in support. But it was probably useless.

So, I got a reply from EA’s in-game chat support and I quote:
“Please let me share that studio had picked up on this immediately and re-activated the Event for the final day, restoring all progress a player had to that point.
Since now we have a new Event Active (Nordic Nirvanna) the issue is seen as resolved.”That is a blatant lie, since my screenshots clearly show the event was NOT reactivated with only 10 hours to go.
No apology. No offer to compensate me with the final reward or some Seasonal coin, just a lie about when they fixed it and close the case. - m652i346ez0m2 months agoSeasoned Ace
I’ve given up collecting the items in the event tracks. Waste of time and I never finish them anyway not since the Egyptian debacle, I also don’t buy the items in the shops to finish the city journal and I have over a 1000 items in storage which I can’t even place.
Who in their right mind would pay 600+ green cash to get items which as I said I have already bought with gold and platinum keys or got from mayors challenge?
The game is becoming over priced and I do pay for the premium pass each month as it gives out some good items occasionally.

My event certainly was not restarted. As my game constantly freezes with other problems still not resolved I have to constantly restart the game and would have noticed if the event was restarted, so yes, it was a blatant lie from EA and different to what they told me. I have asked how they intend to compensate players but no surprise, they haven’t responded yet.

Bug only applied if you’d hit your Weekly Cap. EA’s response confirms it was a bug. If you got the remaining day you were lucky.

They told me the same lie. I don't know when I got the answer, I only noticed the red dot today, I barely played after Wednesday.
