Years of building destroyed by 2.0 update today

I’m too overwhelmed to try to rebuild any of this.  Most buildings are now red and hard to move with reboot needed every few minutes due to the pink and black freeze when touching area of capital city. Omega building cost omega tokens I don’t have and cant afford to buy. Even if I was rich, I can’t figure this nonesense out to fix it.  I just paid for mayors pass. Wow!
please do not ask me to submit pics and play with my IOS ipad function.  This is You, not anything on my side.  After a year of freezes every few minutes, spend some bucks to expand and Update your servers so we stop getting kicked off and have to reboot.  I’m soooo disgusted with EA service and now this buzz killer is thrust upon us.  SHAME!

    Awful in nearly every respect.
Good bye EA/Track Twenty…. There are other games that are reasonable, and fun.

It appears that the rumors of deliberate sabotage by this game's designers is proving true. EA as a company, was bought out by a private Saudi/Muslim hedge fund, run by none other than their crown prince. With people likely to lose their jobs over this, it looks like this horrible, game/city ruining "Services 2.0" update is their revenge. And they've closed out their own discussions requesting feedback on this mess. They're even deleting any comments about it on their Twitter/X account.

This update has made the game unplayable. My own primary city (out of four) that I've worked on for 8+ years and had 4.7 million "residents" and with NO land left for anymore buildings, was practically destroyed with the new service requirements. Fully upgraded, it was still impossible for the current buildings to provide enough for the new requirements. And no space to build more. And that's precisely what the designers clearly wanted; to leave the game (and the company) in shambles for their new owner. Guess what, it worked! I've already deleted the game app off of my Ipad. I'm done with it and the idiots who screwed it up. And it appears that thousands of other players are doing the same. Stick a fork in Simcity BuildIt. This game is DONE. It was fun while it lasted.

I don’t want to play anymore. There is zero way for me to catch up my three decimated cities.

Warning to all. They're deleting comments on here and on their Twitter/X account that are exposing the true nature of this "update" that has to do with the company being taken over by a private firm. Or even commenting at all about this disastrous update. I've already watched three comments of mine "disappear" and even a review I posted in the app store.  And they've closed the threads that requested feedback about this mess. At any rate, this game is finished. Already deleted it off my Ipad. It'll be interesting to see how long this comment stays up, before it gets deleted too.

Trust me, this update is not a mistake. It was by design. And since my own comments on here detailing the reason/cause, keep getting deleted by EA, you'll just have to go read the comments about it elsewhere, where they CAN'T control said comments. Youtube and Reddit are two good places to start. Rest assured, they're not going to fix this mess.

Exactly! Have been playing for nearly 10 years and recently spent so much time reworking cities to try to reach the next population levels and now that’s all for nothing. I spent $1mil in coins to try to update my capital city just to see what would happen and that only got me though two of the services! Especiallly considering that they recently decreased required services across all the regions and now this? I can’t play anymore. I always buy COM, login daily, active in my club. But this? There’s no coming back. I don’t want to have to destroy building after building to solve a problem they made, that doesn’t add value or enhance playing. It’s just absurd, talk about completely ignoring the customer experience.

I had the same thought, but that maybe they were firing staff after the sale and if workers messed it up it would guarantee their job was necessary to fix it. I also saw any mention of the new owners, ahem, squelched in various threads as abuse or removed. Oh well, guess I am next.  If they delete my account, the loss is theirs cause I am a paying customer and my struggle to keep the mess afloat will be over. Just hope my teammates don’t think I just up and abandoned them. It will be interesting to watch how this all plays out.
I remember the original Sim City from the 90s.  Before ads and actual internet requirement.  That also eventually was replaced by other hobbies.
Enjoy life wherever it leads to next. Happiness is an inside job and priceless. Smiling.

After 7 years it’s happened to my cities too. EA doesn’t resolve this problem.
