Branded clothing/skateboard parts

Why does anything branded have to cost real life money??? Why can’t it just be unlockable? Just like all previous skate games and THPS??? I get it’s a free game and all but come on, at least make it half and half. The good **bleep** costs IRL money and the not as good **bleep** unlockable. I just feel like I have no aim. There’s nothing to really play for and all the unbranded **bleep** in the game is SO UGLY

    Sometimes, based on an event, it's unlocked through completing challenges and tasks. I have Vans, Nike, Adidas, and Thrasher gear, which I never had to pay for. If you're patient, the right event will come up, and you'll have a chance to get what you're into.

    Sure, it may not be the fastest way to get it, but things do repeat in the store and could always be used as task unlockables later.
