Challenges not crediting neighborhood XP...

I just spent 20 min the Know the ledges" Line Challenge in Gullcrest (had trouble getting my trick behind the bench). I finally nailed it after like almost a half hour. I got the last green bearing and thought "Hell yeah! finally". I looked up in the corner of the screen where they show the Village name and the XP bar and it never showed up. I then opened my map and the challenge is still sitting there with greyed out diamonds instead of the little green checkmarks like you normally get. It's like the last half hour meant nothing. I've had this happen on other challenges too, but those only took a few minutes to complete and were easy enough I just did them over. It would be nice to actually get the XP and RIP chips we earn.

  • Here is a link to the video showing the issue on Youtube too...  https://youtu.be/7p8_cC-CeN8

Edit: I ran it one more time and got it after a few minutes, that time it gave me my xp.

This seems to be an issue that occurs when you spend "time" trying to complete a challenge.(ie. 15 min or more) This has gotten worse lately. There is also a lot of server lag now. Controller not respondig as i should, character and tricks in somewhat slow motion. Not sure if it's related,

If you start a challenge and the pause the game the timer won't stop.

Thanks for the tip. I'll remember that the next time it takes me a while. I normally only get to play late at night and by then my fingers aren't as fast as they should be I guess.

Like real skateboarding. Sometimes (in game) I'm spectacular, but most of the time I need a lot of attemps to complete challenges. Not optimal to play late at night when you're tired and worn out.. I try to do a lot of the challenges in a way that I think is cool and therefore need many attempts.

Remember that you can insert props that can make the challenges easier. I also think a lot of the challenges have too short start distance.. so need to move my character further away to gain more speed.

I used to skate IRL too. I still have my vert board. A Powell Peralta Tony Hawk Bigtime Hawk (or Claw as some called it). White with Indy trucks and Santa Cruz wheels. It's a little on the beat up side, like me, but I still run it down the road and back every now and then. I used to skate vert, street, and attempted freestyle.

I've noticed some run ups are far too short too. I will usually go back to the yellow barrier and set my session marker further back so when I messed up, I wasn't turning around to go back to get my speed. I ran into a few more challenges last night that were not counting tricks even though down in the scoring section in the corner, the trick was being registered as the trick in the upper corner wanted, but it never checked off in the goals section. Oh well, lets hope they get it all dialed in soon.
