General Feedback and Suggestions

I’d like to first say that I am enjoying the game, and that I am excited to be playing “skate.” again, it has been awhile since my last session with the game and its release as a free to play game is really cool.

Now on to my main feedback. I like what the beta has to offer, and the city being just a large playground for skating is great for testing out a series of things. That being said i think the city being a playground is just that, and doesn’t offer any extra nuances to the gaming experience. Its fun to kick and push around but the whimsicalness of the whole thing is a little bit garish for me. I liked the realism of the first game and i know that the next iterations chose a more casual approach to the game i would like to get back to it. Ideally id love just a regular cityscape to skate in and find my own spots to skate on from the natural environment. Ideally probably bringing back the cityscape from the first game or making a new one that has the current game world in mind. I also feel that a storyline would be great, something that has players building up the environment to skate in, taking over areas financially or politically to take out grind blocks, wax rails and curbs, or remove police or security blocks. Furthermore gameplay can be enhanced by improving boards or having a deeper customization on board controls like having loose or tight trucks, different types of woods that change speed and aerodynamics, grips, wheels, bearings, etc. etc..

Aswell as having a business to run and providing materials and money gathered from different kinds of missions or activities,  and being able to join a skate team or create one, shooting for a magazine. Growing your business for expansion or your team and seeing more public face of your product advertised around town. Doing business based missions based on materials required. Creating logos, designs, ranking up from low level graffiti, to t shirts/fashion and billboard advertisements. Sharing videos to the community and having community votes on lines, stunts, and own the spot for activities from high score basis to just what the community wants to see. Participating in team wide challenges, or team vs team challenges. Showing team control over the city etc. and individual player highscores in the area as well. Finally adding the ability for players to create lines, stunts, and own the spots. Maybe even our own Skateparks.

Creating a cast of characters with different kinds of activities to get involved with that are more like everyday life. Deliveries, skate alongs, competitions, villains and antagonists to contribute to individual player stories and business, as well change each season as the environment changes or politics change adding in mew areas of the city or new environments. This game is not Steep and im not expecting snowboarding or surfing or even longboarding. But I dont see anything wrong with a downhill jam area made to just skate at high speeds and see if you can survive the ride down.

In short, there are lots of options to go in, and id love to see more for the game, and i hope you can see the merit in anything i have laid out here.

Lastly, thank you for your work on the game. I look forward to seeing it progress over the coming cycles around the sun.
