New to Franchise and Confused By Controls

I'm a Tony Hawk player so I joined skate. playtest because I like this kind of game. But the controls (PS5) are confusing and the tutorials don't help because they tell you what tricks to do but don't explain HOW to do them (unless I'm missing something).  The frequency of parkour is much too- I want to skate but the climbing buildings etc. can add a nice break and yet it happens so much.

I am going to continue playing and maybe I'll figure the controls out. If anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

    lol i seriously prophesized that in the forums weeks ago.

    skate 3 had coach frank skate school tutorial. that was so much better.

    Go to skatepedia in the options menu (or hold down on the dpad in-game)
    All the tricks are listed, as well as how to do them. As far as technique goes? Just move the stick in the direction it indicates. Make sure your flick it indicator is on in the hud while you are learning so you can see your inputs. That should help.
