[PC Bug] White Screen + System Freeze on Launch (RTX 5090/9950X3D)
Description
Launching skate through Steam normally causes the game to enter exclusive fullscreen, display a solid white screen, and completely freeze the entire PC. I am forced to hard power off the PC to recover.
- Screen turns solid white
- Keyboard, mouse, and controller become unresponsive
- System must be hard powered off to recover
Workaround (only reliable method)
Press Play in Steam, then immediately switch to another application.
Keep that application focused while the game loads in the background.
Switch back to skate. once it has fully loaded.
Additional Issue
When using the workaround above, some in-game settings do not save correctly and have to be reapplied every launch.
