Trying to grind a dozen or so times, my character does a very small ollie one time, and an exceptionally large one the next... the inconsistency is glaring and very irritating. Clearly, it's not up to me whether the trick works or not; it's some kind of mechanic with a life of its own, and I have to rely on its mercy. It's simply ridiculous how poorly this game is made.
There are two issues here, the first of which is solvable: input sensitivity by default it too high. Instead, set the Flick-It sensitivity to its lowest setting and you’ll have greater control. Your pops will be lower and slower at first, but it’s better long term when you’ve adjusted to it.
The more intractable problem is that laggy server response (typically from greater player load) sometimes causes twitchy input detection and response, knocking the physics off kilter in the process. There’s not much that can be done about that, beyond an offline mode…
ive tried every setting there is im ending up with same issues like yourself,
pretty much u have to get lucky to find a spot that allows you to grind it and not full of bugs
another annoying thing is when u have high speed its almost impossible for get any pop height

laggy server yeah that might be one of the reasons, agree, but overall everything is to flaky weird inconsistent :/
My pops are already low and too slow, and this game doesn't let me jump onto higher obstacles. Sorry, but I'm trying to achieve higher ollies and jump onto higher obstacles than the developer intended, so I can't change the settings to make me jump even lower... this game is very limited.
