So frustrating 😂🤦🏽♂️
Let me also add the fact that the devs just announced in the weekly grind that they will be adjusting the ammount of currency given during the next event instead of giving us more cosmetics to purchase with the currency.... like half the skate-o-ween cosmetics could have been purchaseable with chocolate coins because they were not worth the svb... but we can go eff ourselves ya know. They are going to nerf it to be like the rip chips now, where we only get 5 per challenge instead of 20, and they will probably take away the free 100 daily currency. I will also bet real money that they are going to add an option to purchase the new 5th currency for svb in the new event XD

That’s the problem in a nutshell: it’s being painted as a problem to do with oversupply of chips and not an undersupply of content.
Funnily enough, the cosmetics introduced in last week’s drop (the animal masks and the black Halloween hoodie) were all clearly event themed and priced like event items, only they turned out to be SVB buys - catching many of us out in the process.
It looks very much like they were intended to be unlockable with the event currency, but were switched to paid currency at the last moment. Why else would we have such a massive amount of event tokens? But again, this is now being described in vague terms as a currency balancing issue.
In perfect honesty, it feels like a money-grabbing bait and switch. It hurts, because I’m prepared to support this game (and have done), but not if it’s using unfair or exploitative business practices. Too many tricks; not enough treats.

I'm in the same boat —I bought the deluxe founding founders pack, and I've bought like another hundred dollars of SVB. I really wanted this to be good. I have even expressed to close friends who don't play the game that I wish they had just released it as a finished single-player game with multiplayer capability (like Skate 1, 2, and 3), priced it at $100, and I would have bought it.
