I know it's frustrating to go through so many troubleshooting steps without finding a solution. Based on everything you've shared so far, this still appears to be an issue that's specific to your system, so I'd like to suggest a few more things to try that may help narrow it down.
First, completely exit the NVIDIA app (including any overlays), close Corsair iCUE if it's running, and disconnect any USB devices except for your mouse and keyboard.
After that, restart your PC, launch the EA app as an administrator, and then try launching skate. again.
Let us know whether that changes anything, even if the game still doesn't launch or you receive a different error message. That information can help us determine the next steps.

Hey EA_cuervo, no problem at all, and I really appreciate your help.
I’ve been able to play since Season 1, and it’s only since the recent season 4 update that I started running into this issue. Usually, my graphics card software automatically adjusts the game’s picture settings so I can play optimally, and I haven’t had any frame rate problems or anything like that before. The game also looks completely fine visually—so it’s not like performance or graphics quality got worse as the game got more demanding.
I understand upgrading could help, but my PC has never prevented me from playing any game successfully before, so I’m not sure that’s the root cause.
As for what changed, the only thing I can think of is updating my graphics card driver. Other than that, nothing comes to mind, besides the game season 4 update recently. I’ve also tried a lot of troubleshooting, I did a clean reboot of my PC, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and tried launching it through other launchers. None of those steps resolved the issue.
I’m honestly pretty confused about why this is happening, especially since it worked fine for so long. I also went through Steam support, and they weren’t able to find a fix either.

Hey xd_Quack, Thanks for providing the DxDiag.
I reviewed the DxDiag you sent over, and I can see the PC has an Intel i7-2600K, 8 GB RAM, and a GTX 1060 6 GB. The GPU and RAM look okay against the minimum requirements, but the CPU appears to be below the listed minimum for skate., which is an Intel i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 3 3100.
The current message says the PC may not meet the minimum requirements, so I just want to double-check one thing first: were you ever able to launch or play skate. on this same PC before, or has it never launched successfully on this system?
If it did work before, the best next step would be to let us know roughly when it last worked and whether anything changed since then, like a Windows update, GPU driver update, EA app update, BIOS setting change, or hardware change. That’ll help us narrow down whether this is a new compatibility issue or something that changed on the system.

colonelpeaches This is an interesting find. I have passed the videos to the team to investigate this further so we can better understand what's happening there. Once I hear back from them, I will let you know.

I had an issue where the anticheat kept failing to start after I got blackscreened and had to force close the game. After exiting anticheat process in task manager the anticheat was able to start correctly and the game launched properly

Here that is EA_cuervo and for those who may be having the same issue. The video1 shows the launch and start failing in one go. video2 shows the launch and me quitting, the game automatically restarts without clicking anything, which then allows access.

same situation i’m in right now with season 4, trying to solve with EA and youtube guides but no luck. just have spent the past month relearning how to play session lol
will take your suggestion on opening a tab in the background and see if that works!

Also, now getting the EA Javlin Anti-Cheat is receiving an error and I need to restart my PC. But even if I do so, the message will still pop up. This is after re-installing the anti-cheat aswell.

Hey EA_cuervo, here is that DxDiag. I don't think its my PC's capabilities that are an issue, though I'm not 100% sure, I hope this is able to shed some more light, thanks for all your help. Hopefully we can get this sorted so I can start playing season 4 before the next ones here!... lol
