Why is the sun 10k lumens brighter in this game than it is in real life?

I'm just confused as to who thought this was a good idea?? I have an astigmatism in one eye that I wear corrective lenses for- but even then I have never had an issue in 26 years/ playing this game and making the mistake of facing the sun directly is like driving at night front bumper to front bumper with a lifted pickup that can only run his headlights on mach enlightenment with the only result being a shadowless room.....

Please let us turn the sun brightness down independently from the overall game brightness, 

Btw Im playing with it turned down to 30 😅😅😅
