XP Progression Painful

I wanted to add my feedback to the update on the amount of Rip Chips, Rip Score, and Neighbourhood Rep you earn doing challenges has become excruciating and slow...

The addition of weekly and daily challenges is a welcome update. However, if I have completed my daily and weekly challenges already, and I don't have a friend online to help with the extra co-op goals. It feels like I spend a good amount of time doing challenges and grinding for rewards to only have enough Rip Chips to open one box... 5 Rip Chips per goal feels insulting when boxes are 100-400 Chips... (Before I hear the recommendation of joining a random stranger to earn co-op goals, think back at the infamous "Do you guys not have phones?" quote for Diablo Immortal... I'm already forced to be online, don't force me to befriend strangers to progress.)

I can only guess that this will be extremely annoying once we start needing to unlock tiers of skate passes. If I've paid for premium rewards and I'm soft-locked from progressing at the speed at which I want to unlock them, I'll be utterly disappointed.

There is just something that doesn't sit well with me... that I can only earn a set amount of Rip Chips, Rip Score, and Rep per day, and I need to wait and log in tomorrow to earn any more...

I'm really not enjoying the process of unlocking cosmetics now that progression was nerfed. I didn't enjoy it to begin with, but the slow rate of rewards makes me feel like I won't be able to unlock certain items for days because I just simply can't earn enough per day.

  • they did that so it makes you play for a while it's their whole marketing strategy to keep you playing the game otherwise the game would be a bit boring, I've been playing for 56 hours plus and yeah it gets boring from time to time but the grind is worth it

My criticism is that sometimes I don't have the time to play. I work a pretty demanding full-time job, and when I get the time to relax and game, I don't want to be told "that's enough for the day." Other games where grinding for XP to earn rewards or cosmetics don't do this to me.

I'm not finding the grind worth it currently; I'm only being able to unlock 3-4 items a weekend, which isn't rewarding, especially when it's randomized cosmetics in a loot box.

  • You also got daily tasks that you can do as well as weekly tasks that get you a lot of rip chips, but I agree with you progression takes awhile especially in Market Mile

  • yeah I understand what you're saying but this game is in early access still so once the game actually gets a full-on update it'll be like that for a while
