What really gets me is that there’s such a high proportion of songs that are entirely disconnected from skate culture on the playlist. When I see acts like 2Hollis, Julisa, or Ocean Wisdom, it looks very much like EA’s corporate music department has come in with a quota of sports title crossover tracks that the devs have to include. It’s tonally jarring, forming another front of the ‘devoid of skate culture’ war that the devs have to fight now. EA couldn’t let them have free creative reign, and that is what is jeopardising this title.
