Hi, I’m from Colombia and I’m having an issue with the Battlefront 2 servers.
When I try to play online, the only region available to select is Australia, even though I’m in Latin America. This gives me a very high ping (around 270ms) and I can’t find any matches, since there are almost no players in that region.
I already tried changing the region manually in the settings, but the game won’t let me pick anything else—it always defaults to Australia.
and this is still happening over multiple days after restarting the game, yes?
If so, I suggest you contact EA support directly. (You posted in a user community.)
Yes, and i only see the australia one. You can check that in the screenshots i send
OK. Good. This also suggests you are not using a VPN.
To clarify - in the game you are going to Options->Account and under "Multiplayer Settings" you are using the left and right arrow to look for different ping sites, yes?
I just looked and see 8 locations including Brazil.
Yea i do it and it says im in Colombia.
"This is the only game this happens to me" doesn't mean much with video games. Requirements are different from game to game.
What about my question on speed test?
Im pretty sure im not using a VPN, and is the only game where this happens to me.
Are you by chance using a VPN? When you run a speed test, where does it say your test server is at?
