Black screen on startup (PC)

Ive been trying to play battlefront 2 for about 2-3 weeks now and I’ve been having an issue that just doesn’t seem to have a solution. For the record, ive already played the game on my pc, just stopped playing for a while (couple months) and decided to play again just to be met with the black screen. 

Things I’ve tried:

-uninstall/reinstall

-different launcher

-updated drivers/windows

-rebought the game on steam

-changed graphic settings, display settings, resolution, etc

-repair/verify file integrity 

-any other method I could find on the internet 

-even contacted EA help and they literally said that they have to take a while to discuss what the issue might be. I don’t think it’s my system because ive ran the game multiple times in the past before and suddenly it’s just not working
