The announcement came via the Kyber website; the devs there apparently have a working relationship, or at least a line of communication, with EA. Screenshot attached, and the link is here:

As I mentioned in my post, the connection troubleshooter was one of the first things I worked through. I’ve tried everything I can think of at my end, even to the point of reinstalling the game and EA app on a different SSD. I don’t have Kyber installed either.
Famous last words maybe. But after seven years of playing almost daily, it’s not difficult to notice a sudden significant change in connection stability, and I think it’d be a stretch to know that the issues started in the 24 hours surrounding the server-side update and then look everywhere except the most obvious change. Plus there was a widespread server outage for Battlefront 2 last week which affected everyone I know and was posted about on Reddit too, so something definitely seems to be going on at EA’s end.
