The post says the exploits were reported by the Kyber team in 2025; that doesn’t mean the fixes are instantly made. It would make sense to confirm deployment of a fix when it’d actually been deployed, and besides which, the hacks that were happening en masse stopped after the date that the confirmation was posted.
I also just want to say, how do you think you’d feel if a company made changes that suddenly made your’s and other’s games more unstable, you went through the rigmarole of thoroughly checking everything at your end even though the instability coincided with changes the company had made, you got the run around from the company support and then they directed you to a forum that it looks like most players of the 8 year old game don’t even use or look at, and instead of your at-times gamebreaking issue being looked at, you’re stuck with a couple of random people failing to read the post and linked information properly and immediately trying to shoot the poster down and say they’re wrong instead of double checking their own opinions? Do you reckon you’d be happy about that if it were you trying to seek support instead of me?
To anyone in the EA dev teams reading this as support suggests that you are, this is a really horrible system for getting bugs identified and resolved. I paid for this game (more than one copy in fact), and I performed extensive troubleshooting at my end. It shouldn’t be this hard for you to give a bit of one on one support so that someone who’s played the game most days for six years can keep playing the game with the same stability of connection that they’ve had across every single one of those years prior to your latest server side change.
