Does Epic games progress transfer over to steam?

My epic games account got hacked recently so I lost my account and Epic games are really bad at communicating so it is unlikely I will get my account back, but I was thinking of buying battlefront 2 on steam and was wondering if my progress will carry over to the steam version? I was thinking it should since I am signing in with a EA account but wanted to ask on here first before doing so.
