Game crashing while joining multiplayer in a party

I never had issues with the game before, but when I've tried to play with in a party with a friend, either he or I would crash right after spawning in-game or some time later. We both play on PC. I ...

If you've never had issues starting the game the exact same way on the exact same PC, you may need to roll back a driver, such as video.

Note that "exact same PC" is like a unicorn - it doesn't exist. Your PC is frequently changing because of driver updates, etc.

Also, see if you crash in multiple modes including co-op.
